Greetings KADI Botanical Inc. Shareholders and newsletter subscribers.
We hope the present Covid-19 situation is not having too serious effect on you and that you and your families are keeping safe and well.
All active working members of KADI Botanical are located in the rural areas of Ontario, PEI and Nanaimo BC, which are relatively low population density areas and are easy regions in which to maintain social distancing.
Since KADI Botanical Inc. is a research organization and our research is associated with the food and medicine industry, we are classified as an essential service according to the government guidelines. Thus, our operations are not impacted by mandatory closures and our program progress is not expected to be impacted by the current Covid-19 situation.
Our work at this time is focused on the assembly of our own equipment designs using materials we currently have in stock or that is still available.
Since your company is a private organization, we are happy to say our value is not affected by the turbulent financial market situation affecting publicly traded companies.
Presented below is a brief update on your company developments since our last newsletter and information on progress expected during the next couple of months or so.
The first patent on our technology was issued on March 31, 2020 we have also now received a notice from the Taiwanese patent office that our Taiwanese patent will issue in the very near future as well. Patents are still actively pending in many other countries.
Testing of one of the concepts developed during the November 2019 brain storming session (reported in our January newsletter) has resulted in the demonstration of (limited) direct oil production from a modification of the existing lab prototype CEPE.
This concept allowed the elimination of the distilled water feed to the prototype and resulted in the direct production of broad spectrum extract from a feedstock of plant matter. This is a very significant advancement adding flexibility to the overall capability of this one single CEPE machine design.
We have moved forward with the design of a second lab demonstrator machine that will combine all of the improvements and processes aimed at the Industrial scale demonstrator, into a small-scale demonstrator.
This Phase II CEPE prototype design is now complete, and manufacturing has been started.
The Phase II prototype is intended to demonstrate all processes developed so far including the production of pure botanical compounds and Oil-carried products, in a single CEPE machine of the same configuration as the planned industrial scale machine.
The Phase II CEPE machine will allow the demonstration of the industrial machine concept in a smaller scale machine sooner than we could demonstrate the full-sized industrial machine.
The company is now continuing with its second offering of 25 cent shares by way of an Offering Memorandum Subscription. The minimum investment offered is for $2500 (10,000 shares) for total proceeds of between $350,000 to $500,000.
